About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make no sense whatsoever

ABOUT ME

A teacher who has taught for 6 Years in Europe and on his 7th in Asia. Now in Hanoi, Vietnam. Teaching kids currently and couldn't find a better place for my time. Teaching children for years and to remember a time when they couldn't pronounce a word in your language, yet now they can read and write it, is a beautiful thing.

This world is a place where anyone can make it, do anything they want in any way. Hope to encourage everyone to travel, or live out their dreams. Nothing is stopping you. No this isn't naive youth. This is...

PHILOSOPHY

Refuse to leave this world till everything it has to offer has been experienced.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Respect for hosts, and understanding for guests.

Lets swap recipes and then do the dishes.

Ok Guys, I host in Hanoi because I love this city and want to show you the side of Hanoi that made my fall into this big net. There are many facets on this belly of the dragon that I'll try to show my guests from Vietnamese food to bars, to the range of views and mixed multiculturalism here. However if you're at the end of your trip, and bitter towards everyone around you, please don't stay here. I'm tired of guests that have churned their broken dreams of Asian spirituality or enlightenment into bitterness and resent towards the local people. They have great sides but you just have to look longer than your epic 9 month trip around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ah my first couchsurfing experience my friend and I arrived in a dark area with a long road ahead of us and our soon to be friends truck came on by(after waiting a few hours on the empty dirt road next to HW5)

We talked about for a moment. Then he said "You know what I like about living out here in the middle of nowhere? You can make all the noise you want, you can a huge party and no one will complain. Scream as loud as you want and no one will hear you. In fact someone crazy guy could invite two people down here and the kill them and no one would know!"
He pulled out a pistol and shot two bullets off into the distance.
We stayed with him for a week working on a horse ranch. It was a great experience.

Interests

Coffee, Wine and Conversations.

Travelling, oh yes Backpacking. Hitch-Hiking to far away places, and even eating the foods in small suspicious looking shacks, in little towns that no one has heard of. Ideas that everyone thinks are crazy and following through with them.
