I am Alvaro from northern Spain. With 10 years living abroad (mainly in South America and Europe) and a backpacker soul, I really enjoy meeting new people with different backgrounds and share old or new experiences together :)

What I enjoy the most is any activity in nature (especially hiking/bicicling/camping), sports in general, either mountain and beach, cooking/chilling at home with good company, yoga/meditation, playing piano, learn from new cultures/languages, and explore new places. More relaxed than the old partying guy I used to be, I'm always keen to grab a beer/wine and share enjoyable moments either with old friends or new people that I find on my way. I get along well with open minded and genuine people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working for a NGO in Sao Paulo building timber homes for the most vulnerable families in poor favelas. Being deeply in touch with those families affected, it was one of the most enriching and life-teaching experience I have ever had.

In 2017 I bought a motorbike and travelled 6000 km around Southeast Asia. Such a great way to meet local people and hidden places. During this trip, I had the chance to participate in a Vipassana meditation retreat in southern Thailand, an experience which changed some ways of how I face daily life and definitely adjusted the idea of what being succesful in life looks like.
