About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To listen.

ABOUT ME

I am probably taller than you.

I enjoy red wine, good conversations, and long moonlit walks on nuclear reactors...err...

PHILOSOPHY

I want to know as many different kinds of people as I can. I especially want to understand their point of view.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is just the beginning.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I offered my couch to activists/protesters during the RNC 2004 while I was still living in Brooklyn, nyc. I have surfed on friends couches while traveling. I have let travelers stay at my home, on occasion. Surfed in Park Slope and Joshua Tree. In Shanghai, I went to a couple CS parties, convinced friends to sign up (yeah!) and met with a few travelers. CSed in China. Hosted in Iowa and New Mexico.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gimme books!

I make movies.

I have been a number of different people and my music taste reflects that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent time laying on my back in the 85' dish of Antenna #27 at the Very Large Array radio astronomy observatory.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and French, & a small amount of Mandarin Chinese as well as vegetarian cooking lessons in exchange for other languages and recipes. I can show you around the cheese department or teach you painting/video editing techniques! I can build FM radio transmitters, and can also show you how!

I want to learn sustainable/diy/alternative living tips. And how to ferment things. And high desert farming tips. I have a few tricks up my sleeve in exchange.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Palestine, Turkey, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, India, Mexico, United States
