About Me

CURRENT MISSION

fostering continuity without compromise

ABOUT ME

i'm continually entertained by irony and satire. i find philosophy, music, gender studies, psychology, social commentary, politics (surface level, nothing big), literature, and environmental studies intriguing, especially when combining two or more schools of thought, such as postmodern ecofeminism or existential psychotherapy.
i'm enthralled by Art. i hate working. i want to live in a nipa hut in the philippines with a mat to sleep on and a chicken in the yard.

PHILOSOPHY

i'm an optimistic existentialist. i find great freedom and fulfillment in the human condition, complete with its ironic tragedies, supposed purposelessness, and absurdity. i view experience (the moment) as indispensable, and especially savor a multifaceted yet interconnected view of knowledge, interpretation, relationships, and perception.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests

pounding on the piano till i can't help myself but crack a smile. there's only so long a somber face can endure the delightful indulgence of such raucous, relentless noise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i was walking down this secluded beach in the philippines, and i hear this cough. i turn to look, and there's this guy sprawled out completely naked, laying so that all i see is a birds-eye view of his package. i silently turned my head and mouthed "OH MY GOD" to myself, trying my best to muffle a shocked yet simultaneously pleased laugh. i see this lady walking ahead of me and decide to catch up to her to see if she's got a similar story. i mouth, "DID YOU SEE THAT!?" and gesture behind me. she mouths back "OH MY GOD, YES!!!" we mused for a bit about how this was just what he did during the day--he got some smokes and some booze and went down to the beach to give unsuspecting tourists a little something that wasn't on the sightseeing schedule. "you think he does this often? i mean, it looked pretty well manicured..." we laughed some more. i begun to mimic an imaginary girlfriend of his in a silly voice. "well rammel honey, i didn't see you all day today, what have you been up?"
