Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Living as I do "off the beaten track", It's generally the adventurous Surfers that I meet, or those with their own transport. I have met and made friends with people from many different parts of Australia and around the world, and hope to do so again in Asia soon.

Interests

My interests are mainly centered around protecting the natural environment and my place in it, with the hope that some of it will survive to be enjoyed by future generations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most music made by people, but I also enjoy the music made by nature. Just stop sometime and listen, you will hear what I mean.
I read a lot of books (generally 2-3 per week) in all genres

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove through "Check Point Charlie" when there was still a wall around E. Berlin.
Have seen all of Paris from the Eifel tower and all of the Kauri forest destruction in West Aust. from the top of a giant tree.
Drove across the Nullabour. for the 8th time, last year

Teach, Learn, Share

I live in a low cost, self built, solar powered, mud brick house. I am happy to teach low tech building skills, generally working with bush timber and mud bricks. You can also gain skills with many farm tools,
