About Me

CURRENT MISSION

movies are my life: I make, watch, sleep, breath and dream them

ABOUT ME

Who am I?

Just another cliche example of a twenty-something who went looking for fulfilment and the virtues of travelling. I Hitchhiked from my hometown Leuven (Belgium) to Sydney (Australia) and I passed Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, South-East Asia, Indonesia, Australia. With a thumb on the side of the road. Maybe not such a cliche after all. You can read my story on the website http://hetjaarvandehond.tumblr.com/

I met my British partner on the road and decided to settle with her in Bristol in the UK

Who am I? I'm a former freelance-journalist for some Belgian magazines , a box office supervisor at a local art-house cinema , a movie aficionado, a self declared pop culture critic, a past time date show participant, a storyteller and an alternative traveler.

PHILOSOPHY

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." [M.Twain]

Interests

Film is my religion and cinema is my church, I devour films as if it's an integral & essential part of my life.

I like to travel to get out of my comfort zone. Travelling is about experiencing countries and not so much about seeing them... I love to hitchhike... it's a great way to get under the skin of a country...I love reading and cooking (I can make a mean Belgian beef stew) I like art and photography and I enjoy playing boardgames with some friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the out crossed words on my 'things to do before I die list: I hitchhiked from Belgium to Sydney, I was an extra for a Hollywood film, I posed naked for a spencer tunick picture(check him out), I travelled 4 continents, I interviewed celebrities and I as of February 2016, I got engaged with Laura, my lovely partner-in crime.

But there are still a lot of things that aren't out crossed

Teach, Learn, Share
