About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a good person, respecting all manner of life on the planet, and even being friends to rocks and stones.

ABOUT ME

Intelligent, smart, cultured, caring, passionate, sensual, sensitive, friendly, sharing, dedicated to my causes.

Love friends - from all over the world. I would like it if you were all like brothers and sisters, or close relatives.

PHILOSOPHY

To be happy, joyful, and a friend to all. To enjoy good health and mental clarity, wisdom, and wealth (not necessarily of material) and well-being.

And, above all, I seek justice for my Hawaiian people - whose lands are belligerantly occupied by "Big Brother" (the u.s.).

Music, Movies, and Books

Beethoven's 9th is a favorite. Gershwin. As are Puccini's and Verdi's operas. Van Gogh, others. Casablanca and To Kill a Mockingbird are favorites - many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be able to still climb trees and hike high mountains at my age (75 - in 2011). To leave as many invisible footsteps on, around and over my island - Hawai'i - as possible is one of my greatest goals.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone who can meet me half-way - the more diversified a topic, the better - from self-sufficiency, adventure of all sorts, to history, culture, travel, politics, sex. The Hawaiian sacred mountain of Mauna Kea is a great place to visit, to take guests to and on which to talk about the mysteries of life, love, living and being - except that I no longer have a 4-wheel drive.

I live "off the grid" - and so I don't have the facilities that are normal for normal travelers. However, in recent years, the few guests I've hosted have been very independent types - who have camped for short periods of time. On the other hand - I have been "out of town" quite frequently - and have not been present to adequately host.

So, at the least, my situation is "iffy!" Sorry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am typically very interested in the history of places and in the culture(s) of my hosts. And I have had some of the greatest hosts that I could have possibly met up with. Thank you all?!
