ABOUT ME

****PEOPLE! PLEASE READ MY PROFILE FIRST BEFORE SENDING ME REQUESTS!!! I won't even bother explaining to you why I click NO to your requests when I can see that you hadn't read my profile at all****

I joined CS back in 2007. But only since the summer of 2010 I started to really meet and host a lot of CSrs. And I enjoyed it so much! I think it got me addicted to meeting new people all the time =) Also I am ENFP.

I am an adventurous person, hate being at one place for a long time. I often dart off and go to some place I've never seen before.

I am a typical TCKid. And get along best with other TCKs.

I was a student at a university in Salzburg between October 2009 and June 2013. My group of classmates was very international and that was what I appreciated most about this! I really love being in that multi-culti atmosphere! Such a great chance to learn different cultures! I enjoyed every minute spent at this university!

In 2011 I spent one semester in Hong Kong as an exchange student. After that I spent a wonderful summer in Barcelona, Spain. Great times!

In 2014 I returned to Asia for half a year. And will return there again. It's one of my homes now.

I spent the summer of 2016 in Brazil learning and practising Portuguese in a natural environment.., just because I am too lazy to learn from the books :)
I am now totally in love with the country, its culture and the language!

In the summer of 2018 I did a 2 month long hitchhiking trip through Europe together with a friend (couchsurfing.com/people/grinbergmarie). We had lots of reunions with our old friends, made new ones and visited two Prides: in Berlin (where we participated in one of the floats) and in Prague. To many more Prides!

During the Pandemic I started my own podcast (Gringas Joined: anchor.fm/gringasjoined), because I was just too bored and had to put my creative energy somewhere:) I have a few other projects in mind. Currently trying to get myself and my schedule together so I can finally do them :)

My home is my office and my creative space. This should be considered when sending a request to stay there. This means that the first part of the day I usually work (teaching English), and the second part of the day is usually free, and I try to devote it to my creative projects. Documentary filmmaking is where I see myself in the nearest future.

IMPORTANT:
Another important thing to keep in mind is that my apartment is an LGBTQ+ friendly space. If you are homophobic, go educate yourself and only then come back.

PHILOSOPHY

Wherever you are, it's all about the people.

"A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open."
Frank Zappa

I don't like to be numbered with Russians - I am a cosmopolitan person. My dream is to have a World Passport :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is about the people I meet on the way. Knowing that some of them had a big influence on me is the greatest thing. I believe nothing happens without a reason, so anyone we meet was meant to have that influence on us.

But apart from that I loved:
New York at Christmas time... like a fairy tale!
Flying on a helicopter - just amazing!!!
Hitchking for 2 months!
Letting it go and enjoying my life! =)))

2 month long hitchhiking trip through Europe in summer 2018. Lots of reunions and new friends.

Want to do the bungee jump from the highest bridge in Africa=)

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach people (or at least try) to be more open-minded.

I was told my positivity is contagious. ;)
