ABOUT ME

My profile is from 5 years ago (except my current profile pic). It's kind of a time capsule now that I should probably change and am not going to yet :)

I never traveled much beyond the east coast until a few years ago. I've been working fulltime since highschool dreaming of one day going exploring. I graduated from massage school and hit the road. It was a whole new experience owning only what I could carry and opening up to new experiences every day. There were so many wonderful adventures, met great people and made it to Washington, Cali and lots of places in between. I just finished working 7 months at the Humane Society of St Louis.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be happy each day and each moment. I used to work at a job I didn't like or believe in to "pay the bills" and I really wasn't enjoying my life. I think people can get by with less stuff and time is more important than money. Learning is what I love and I try to learn something everyday.

I just did my first official couchsurfing journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my travels I've been blessed to be taken in by numerous strangers (and many now friends). It's made me realize how giving and loving many people are. It takes a lot of faith to let someone in based on first perceptions and I oh so appreciate it. I treat someone's elses home with as much respect as possible.

Creativity is my passion. My favorite physical activities are drumming, dancing and spinning fire poi.
I love animals, interacting with them brings me joy. Music is a very special part of my life as is being outdoors, hiking, camping. I like to watch movies, read books, and sketch.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My range of music is wide. I love jazz, hiphop, jambands, funk and anything that speaks to my heart.
Watching movies is a favorite pasttime, I just saw Labyrinth on the big screen which was super cool.
My favorite author is Barbara Kingsolver. Right now I've finished reading a gigantic book my mom recommended called Chesapeake by James Mitchener and am looking for something new.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I went with friends to Arizona and we ended up in the bottom of a huge canyon at a local reggae festival. Late at night on my friends birthday we hiked a few miles not really sure of our directions and crossed a freezing river to get to a hot springs where Al Capone supposedly had used to have a retreat. It was beautiful being in warm waters with people I loved and new friends surrounded by old clay walls and no roof watching the stars.
