Overview
About Me
I am social and love meeting new people. I love the ocean, meteor showers, and taking photos, lots of photos. I also love stand-up comedy (favorites include Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Jim Gaffigan), theater, Hamilton the Musical and Doctor Who. I like making people laugh. I really enjoy learning and speaking other languages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life and to explore other cultures and places through the eyes of the people who inhabit them. Couchsurfing allows us to connect and share experiences with people we might otherwise never get to meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rapelling down a cliff in the Judean desert in Israel, then, after sunset, lying down at the bottom to gaze up at the sky full of stars in the desert night.
Hitch-hiking on Catalina Island golf carts was fantastic fun. And meeting fellow visitors at the Wrigley Memorial who toasted my companion and me with a stick of Wrigley gum was memorable. As was sitting through a horrible movie just so we could see the inside of the Catalina island ballroom.
After ending up on the wrong train (Florence to Rome instead of Florence to Bologna)and subsequently getting back on a train going back up north, my friend and found ourselves sitting a cross from two very friendly Dutch people returning from a business trip in Malta. Deep into a wonderful conversation, they broke out a bottle of wine to share, which provided me with my first opportunity to use the corkscrew on my new Swiss Army knife!
