HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I registered in 2007, but only started using the site early 2011... Like everyone here i guess, i think it's far more interesting to discover a place with local people (or at least local guidance), rather than only through red sightseeing buses and hotel brochures.
I added my 2 couches in Paris on the site; it's a good way to meet new people from everywhere

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I essentially hosted people in Paris. I had the best cappuccino and a few beers with Eric in York, and my first real (and awesome) surfing experience with Matt(hew) in Berlin, followed by another awesome and last minute one in Stockholm with Charlie

Just finished reading "to kill a mockingbird", currently listening to "me first and the gimme gimmes", just watched the last episode of doctor who.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked to a 5000m summit in Ecuador - the last meters were rough...
Soon: Finishing a phd with (relative) mental sanity (edit: done! not sure about the mental sanity though...)
Survived a 50 hour trip from Paris to Sydney with an unplanned and rather eventful and calamitous stop in China.
