ABOUT ME

Why does everything have to be about me? :-) I'm the first US born member on both my mom and dad's side of the family. I was raised speaking Romanian and only learning English in school (so technically Romanian is my 1st language). I did learn to read and write Romanian and have been back to the mother land 18 times. While I do love it there, America is my home.

Growing up, my family has always hosted families from around the world and I've been blessed to meet so many wonderful people. I've personally given many many tours of Chicago and know secret spots that most Chicagoan's don't know about. I work for a Virtual Market Research firm and travel for most of my jobs. These days Phoenix, Arizona is home but since I travel so much for work I never know when I'll be home.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life to the fullest. Walk on people, and you will be trampled on by many more, show a little kindness and you will get robbed. Huh? Yea, there is no easy answer. Be smart about what you do, how you do it, and when you do it. Live for the now, but don't forget that there might just be a tomorrow that you might regret. With that said, be true to yourself and others and things will be ok.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend as many CS events as I can in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

I have Traveled (surfed) San Diego, LA, NYC and Vegas, Germany, Italy, San Francisco, New Mexico, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid. I meet as many surfers as I can whether just for coffee or to host or be hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but positive... Just Great!!! Once I spent about 1 week surfing between multiple city's/Countries in Europe talking to people and experiencing how they live. You really get to see who you are as a person only after you meet others. I can't wait to attend another CS function, or to be able to host someone that hosted me. I've made some friends that I will have for a very long time. Thanks CS!

I'll be first to admit that I'm a geek. I have a background in computer science and I can spend hours and days on a computer. I've held many jobs in my life from pee-on to store manager. I've working in Catering, sold Jewelry, did plumbing, laid tiles, helped business organize their records in Excel among other things. I enjoy traveling and just spending quality time with others. I'm always up for a trip or just food with friends. I enjoy cooking, swimming, hiking, watching documentaries and just hanging out with others.

I like watching a good movie now and then, but music is like the air I breath. Music is my motivation to go on. What kind you ask? It doesn't matter, as long as I like it and it speaks to my soul.

YES, YES and YES. I do it all. I mainly try to Learn and Share but every now and then I am forced to Teach :-). Oh the joys of life...

Time, I have a lot of time and can spend a good amount of that time with a host. Sharing experiences and talking all night about anything and everything. I can also host which isn't a common thing anymore.
