About Me

CURRENT MISSION

easy: travel, see a little more of this world - experiences...

ABOUT ME

My son told me about 'Couchsurfing' - I like this idea.
I love to sail and it would be nice to meet people at the places I go who can tell me more about their town/city or island.
So this is what I can offer for my area, too (when I'm there ;) - otherwise.......just contact my son and he might offer you my room....

UPDATE:
I'm back in Germany. 1,5 years of traveling alone on land is enough and I had the feeling to go home.
The feeling was right - they found I have Leukemia.
after 1,5 years I'm still recovering. But hey....it's getting better and better... ;)

So now I'm looking for some place warm to live all year round (southern Spain or Italy would be fine).
Yeah...the time will come I can play beach volleyball, again.

PHILOSOPHY

there are so many places on this planet I want to see....and on the way I will find a lot more I don't know about....gosh...I won't get old enough to do it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

if people are open minded, i tell them about couchsurfing and normally have a great response.
A nice story: being in George Town, Exumas, I met Mary. Her daughters are going to Europe for some week. I told her about couchsurfing and she immediately called one of her daughters........they already knew about!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm normally crew on sailboats...that means sometimes I have some time on land between coming from a boat and going to the next one. It is wonderful to meet people, their friends - I just love this.....
CS in Panama was terrific!
Meeting a CS in Havana - incredible!
NZ, Australia.....it continues ;)
