About Me

I haven't updated my profile in years. I used to couchsurf a lot (both hosting and being hosted) but since it got sold and the user base expanded to the millions, it's not as authentic anymore.
Bewelcome and Trustroots are exemples of communities whose principles I cherish.
I moved to Cologne in february, 2019. Unfortunately I cannot host at the moment.

objectively: After my departure from home at the age of 17, I've been moving around every year, combining science studies, language absorption, some working, and travels. Professionally, I am an ice cream seller, having worked in july/august every year.

The best way to stay in the flow is to create connections. I am on couchsurfing to facilitate the search for these connections, because although it is easy to get along with everybody, a quick profile scan can give you a good idea about the basic vibe of a person.
Stay in the flow, don't overthink, connect and be yourself!

This concept of open-mindedness that gets thrown around a lot in this community is nothing else than respect. Respect for the ways in which other people can do things, be happy, think etc.

We float on the sea of life looking for meaning. On our struggle to fill this existence with meaning, we sometimes reach out to other humans and try to gather some indormation about where it is best to go. Whether you have a huge ship with a giant sail headed steadily in one direction, or you encounter a lifeboat aimlessly floating, it is worth the time to stay and listen to the story of the captain.
The boat itself tells something about the captain, but the real deal is listening to how he got where he is.

I especially like people who try to surf great waves on couches into unchartered waters:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to metal, blues and folk when I'm alone and I listen to pretty much everything else when together with humans.
Dub, dubstep, swing, nujazz, trap, stoner rock and folk can all be great if done well.
Radio music is usually garbage.

My favourite lecture is Wikipedia, 100% adapted to my interests and written on the language of my actual mood.
I hardly read. I listen to podcasts.
The books I read are mostly language books or science textbooks.

Some of my all-time favorites:
All Tarantino's, The Pick of Destiny, The Big Lebowski, Dr. Strangelove, Taxidermia, Les triplettes de Belleville, Jesus Christ Superstar, Baraka, Samsara (both), Life of Brian, Relatos salvages, Inside out.
I love all digital animation movies too! (Sausage fest kixass)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-crossed Patagonia on horseback
-peyote
-cycled from Hungary to France twice
-google Earth
-eating four and a half surströmming
-picking up my first hitchhiker, while driving without a driver's licence.

Teach, Learn, Share

It is all about the connection. Only if one opens up himself enough to the world, can one hope to absorb new knowledge.
I am extremely good at latching on to human's vibes and consequently understanding them and sharing the present.
I believe that a huge part of the human quest to a fulfilled life consists of finding those nexi where two souls conflude and two intellects entertwine.

What I Can Share with Hosts
