ABOUT ME

After taking many a year away from the travelling and adventure bug, I'm ready to launch back in. I work for myself so have some wonderful flexibility with scheduling and free time. I have a wonderful eight year old daughter who is just a delight and a very willing and ready world-traveller. I love to laugh, explore, have a beer or two, cook, and always have a welcoming kitchen.
I've just turned 40 and CRAP! How did that happen? I was 20 last time I checked. However, as George Burns says, you're only as old as the man that you feel, and my partner keeps me young!

Oh cripes. Do the best you can with what you've got, because life is always worth living.

I met up with some lovely Couchsurfers in Europe and the offer for the couch is open!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was young(er) I travelled extensively - I met many great people who were generous with their couches. I have also reciprocated on many occasions - but this is my first time in a formal set-up!

兴趣

Have just recently fallen madly into AFL - (Go the Cats!!!!), but this is probably just a phase. I umpire netball, enjoy watching gymnastics (my daughter's passion), love travelling, wining & dining. I spend too much time on the internet. I have a lapsed passion for writing, and hence a lapsed blog.

Music; Current PASSION is Amy Winehouse. Apart from this I'm trapped in a 1980s alternative time-warp. I do love Irish folk music and love a good sing-a-long and jam session. Love messing around with harmonies etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I was about 6, and before Kakadu was a National Park, my father, his friend and I were some of the first European people to ever set eyes on some aboriginal rock art that is now visited by approx 165,000 people per year. We had to make our own road through the bush and walked and climbed for hours. It filled me with such a sense of wonderment.

I can help with good travel tips on the Top End of Australia as I am a born-and-bred Darwinian, and went fishing and camping most weekends from the age of 0-15.
