I'm a doctor. I was born and grew up in Milan, actually I live and work in the "Eternal City", Rome.

PHILOSOPHY

Ithaca

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon -- do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the fierce Poseidon you will never encounter,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your soul does not set them up before you.

Pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many, when,
with such pleasure, with such joy
you will enter ports seen for the first time;
stop at Phoenician markets,
and purchase fine merchandise,
mother-of-pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
and sensual perfumes of all kinds,
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
visit many Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from scholars.

Always keep Ithaca in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.

Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would have never set out on the road.
She has nothing more to give you.

And if you find her poor, Ithaca has not deceived you.
Wise as you have become, with so much experience,
you must already have understood what Ithacas mean.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unluckly I can't host anyone because I share the flat with three other girls but I would like to meet cool and interesting people to grab a beer together, eat the amazing roman food or just buzz around in the city.

Intereses

Too many: reading, travelling, wirting, photography ...
So it's better if I talk about the main one: politics, and I mean it in the noblest meaning of the word: far from the parties and politicians, taking care of the place where you live and of the people around you .
I think that the only way to walk out from the current crisis is to change little by little our mentality. We need to build a society where the profit is no more the only engine of the progress.
For this reason I'm often engaged in projects where, together with many other people, we try to show that it's possible to improve our city just giving some of our free time and enthusiasm.
It's a tough topic and it's impossible to explain it in few lines, so if you are interested we can talk about it face to face in front of a beer :)

I have seen the bodies be burned in the holy city of Benares.
I have seen the stars during a night in the desert.
I've crossed the northern India by train (in the sleeping class of course!)
I have seen the eruption of a Volcano in Sicily.
I have walked in the tropical forest during a monsoon
I have seen kids come to existence
I have played with a frisbee in front of Colosseum while the sun was rising.
I've been driving a Panda inside a polish forest looking for bisonts (but I've found just wild pigs)
I have been in love at least one time in my life.
