About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be present.

ABOUT ME

I am a very compassionate and easy going person. I believe life is meant to be lived with intention, that we have many lives rolled into one, and that its an ever evolving beautiful and painful process that is beyond amazing.

Ive done the bulk of my traveling when couchsurfing was a way to get by, not a website/platform. The creation of this community alone makes it so worthwhile to be traveling again with hopes to meet all these wonderful people behind incredible profiles.

So, a bit about me: I love yoga, bike riding, all nature, suncooking, health and natural healing, reiki, writing, photography, art, meeting new people, adventures, being alone, being with people, having fun, learning about new cultures, new languages, the OCEAN and scuba diving, swimming, sitting in hot springs!

I am a raw vegan chef. And amateur farmer studying plant science, urban agriculture and food justice. Currently living in Cayman Islands. I never hurt flies ( except mosquitos and sand flies deserve to die) and smile at strangers and children. I love my veggies. I am always on the mission to learn more. I love philosophy, spirituality, history; the beautiful world in general. I try to live a very sustainable life and tend to gravitate toward people that wanna hug some trees. But I'm open to everyone!

PHILOSOPHY

Try to make the world a better place.

Always take the risk.

We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
Joseph Campbell

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
Margaret Mead

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Connecting, sharing, and being open.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

AH-mazing!! What a fantastic platform to connect to the world!! I have had these incredible experiences filled with people that have opened up their homes and hearts to me. Humanity is alive and well in CS'ers (at least the ones Ive met). Sometimes its hard to imagine that kindness and generosity towards strangers still exist.. especially when I walk down the streets of NYC and nobody makes eye contact!!

Interests

scuba diving, yoga, living a connected life, live music, bike riding, mopeds, plants, growing plants, eating plants, making medicine from plants, the details in life, great conversation, being scared by super volcanoes, wine and a perfect cocktail, sunsets, stillness, being in the moment, bike rides ending in sunset beach cartwheels, rolling around in sand, submersing in perfect temperature water, farms, permaculture, biodynamics, tree houses, sustainable dwellings, homesteading like mad, cooking, road trips, laughing like a banshee, finding secret hot springs, making new friends, adventure, sun on my skin, dreaming, hands in the dirt, rope swings into lakes, learning about everything, biology, botany, thermodynamics, metaphysics, sustainable agriculture.. the list is endless really

Music, Movies, and Books

music: all music, anything that evokes emotion, makes we want to dance, cry, takes real technical skill or is improvised on the spot, or full of soul- ex: rolling stones, otis redding, why?, bob marley, sam cooke, tv on the radio, nick cave, tupac, good life, built to spill, future islands, grimes, & lots and lots of other stuff ...
books: anything that interests me, including, but not limited to- nutrition, herbalism, brain science, history, ... lots of good fiction, including, confederacy of dunces, the god of small things, slaughter house 5, master and margarita...
movies: time bandits, fear and loathing in las vegas, galaxy quest, better off dead....and documentaries, especially health and environment related..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was circled by three sharks off the coast of Lombak. Fed an orangutan an orange slice in wild primary jungle in Sumatra. I've been surrounded by some of the most painfully breathtaking parts of nature and human nature and felt my world cave in from beauty and kindness. Im a lucky girl to have had so many experiences!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to do a headstand and a perfect cartwheel. how to make really awesome yummy raw food treats. how to hold your breath under water for a long time...
