Chi sono

I think the best way to describe myself is to let other people do it for me, so feel free to read the references first!

For more than a decade, I've been living and traveling all over the world. Basically, I chase experiences and want the best that life has to offer. From running with the bulls in Spain to spending three days in a potato-vodka-induced haze at an electronic music festival on the Black Sea, I'm trying to do it all.

Since I can remember, I always dreamed about traveling and exploring new cultures, and when I graduated from my university, I decided to make it happen. I started an internet-based consulting business, worked hard since 2009 to make it successful, and never looked back. Since then, I've lived in 7 countries and I'm able to move around the world as much as I want.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I’ve hosted more than 50 people, I’ve only CouchSurfed once. A CouchSurfer who stayed at my apartment in Buenos Aires literally gave me the keys to his apartment in Rio during Carnaval and took off to Chile (see Beto below in my References). That level of openness and trust is what I love most about the CS community – well, that and our amazing ability to start a party no matter where we are.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I first joined, I met a couple German guys at Argentina's Oktoberfest celebration who were traveling the world, and they told me about the community. I offered to let them sleep in my living room whenever they made it to Buenos Aires and they were at my door 5 days later. They spent 10 action-packed days with me, and by the time they left, I was wondering where CouchSurfing had been all my life :)

Since then, I’ve met so many incredible people, ranging from Australian video game journalists to the rhythm section of a Saudi Arabian art rock band. They’ve taught me essential life lessons, like how to say "Cheers" and curse in 15 languages. Most importantly, they’ve also taught me that a smile, an open mind, and a lot of sign language can get you just as far as your passport when you’re traveling.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

The Run of The Bulls in Pamplona, Spain. It’s an indescribable festival.

During the first year I was there, I saw an intense riot that was broken up by armored riot police shooting guns loaded with rubber bullets. Because I had enjoyed several glasses of red wine with breakfast, I thought they were actually shooting at people.

When I returned two summers later, I took it much easier on the wine and actually ran with the bulls. I made it into the stadium just behind the pack for the part not everyone sees on TV... letting bulls with padded horns loose in the stadium to trample the runners.

Some things are so dumb they are completely genius.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach you some very naughty words in Spanish and show you how to make a Bolognese sauce that will make your taste buds do the Tango.

I’m also always happy to share some crazy and hilarious travel stories that I guarantee you’ve never heard before. I’ve probably got at least 10 in the same league as the events that led up to the police chief at the Argentine jail saying, in Spanish, “So, you’re the innocent one? Come with me.”
