Hi! I'm Randall, a multifaceted professional with over 20 years of experience in the tourism, hospitality, and technology industries. I'm currently the CEO of Papaya Dreams, Colivin Aparthotel & Innovation Center, a luxury hotel that specializes in community awareness, customer experience, and an empathetic approach. I'm also an official Airbnb Superhost and one of the 5 Airbnb Community Leaders in Costa Rica. In addition, I'm the director of CITO (Comisión de Innovación y Tecnologia) and the Commission of Tourism at the local Chamber of Commerce. I'm a passionate advocate for innovation and technology in the tourism industry, and I'm committed to using my skills and experience to make a positive impact on my community

I'm also a queer activist and a feminist. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. I'm committed to using my platform to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and to advocate for equality for all

I'm not just all work and no play. I'm also a bit of a goofball. I love hosting movies and game nights, monthly potlucks and yoga classes

I'm also one of Costa Rica's CouchSurfing Ambassadors ;)

¡Hola! Soy Randall, un profesional multifacético con más de 20 años de experiencia en las industrias del turismo, la hospitalidad y la tecnología. Actualmente soy el CEO de Papaya Dreams, Colivin Aparthotel & Innovation Center, un hotel de lujo que se especializa en la conciencia comunitaria, la experiencia del cliente y un enfoque empático. También soy un Superhost oficial de Airbnb y uno de los 5 líderes de la comunidad de Airbnb en Costa Rica en donde manejo la página oficial para líderes de las provincias de Alajuela y Heredia. Gracias a ello fui seleccionado y actualmente funjo como Vicepresidente de ASOHOST CR, la asociación para dueños de experiencias de hospitalidad en CR. Además, soy el director de CITO (Comisión de Innovación y Tecnología) y la Comisión de Turismo de la Cámara de Comercio local. Soy un apasionado defensor de la innovación y la tecnología en la industria del turismo, y me comprometo a utilizar mis habilidades y experiencia para generar un impacto positivo en mi comunidad

También soy un activista queer y un feminista. Creo que todos merecen ser tratados con respeto y dignidad, independientemente de su orientación sexual o identidad de género. Me comprometo a utilizar mi plataforma para concienciar sobre los problemas LGBTQ+ y abogar por la igualdad para todos

No soy solo trabajo y no juego. También soy un poco payaso. Me encanta organizar noches de cine y juegos, comidas mensuales y clases de yoga

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I got involved in this project because of a good friend who pushed several times for me to check it out... In a way, I´ve always been a CS´er, even if the term wasn´t there.

I love meeting new people, sharing culture and personalities. I love to indulge into craziness and enjoy life as much as possible. And CS does a fantastic job at proving great tools to facilitate this process

How to get a butterfly or a nocturnal moth to crawl into your hand. Fast reading. Even faster writing. Several different types of wagers (including horses). Learn how to survive an earthquake. Laugh at earthquakes (when possible). Body-surfing. Safe-sun-tanning. How to prepare all type of dishes in a fusion cuisine. The magic of silence, the magic of noise. How to innovate. How to start a new company. Etc...

Things I would like to learn:
To speak French, Portuguese and Japanese correctly. To cook amazing world-wide cousin. To laugh for centuries. To love and be love in return. To cry and then laugh again. Also I would love to learn about Buddhism (I read about it, but I would like to talk to someone who actually practices it). Anything else you think you can teach me...
