About Me

CURRENT MISSION

save the world, one hug at a time!

ABOUT ME

i'm a silly but serious, funny but contemplative, adventurous but OCD lover of life.
i talk really loud, especially in places that i shouldn't, like the library or on public transportation.
i love subways and think they should build one in LA.
i think ice cream is best eaten when it's raining outside, and if you're in mendoza,argentina... you have to do it!
a well timed hug is the best present anyone could give me.
i love spontaneous people.
i'm passionate about life.
one can never have too many toe-socks!
i actually like school.
i like talking to random people (some call them strangers, but i call them potential/future friends) and hearing their stories.
dancing is not something i'm that good at, but i love it anyway.
my sister is my best friend.
i'm really random...most all of the time.
smiling is my favorite. :0)

but most of all, i'd like to meet you!

pero lo más importante es.... ¡A mí me gustaría conocerte!!

PHILOSOPHY

there is something to learn from everyone: take what you like from those you meet and incorporate it into yourself. take what you dislike from others and actively work to avoid being like that.

everyone can change the world... even if just one hug at a time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i host a lot, since currently i am unable to travel for long periods. but when i doo... i know that the CS community will return the favor! i love CSers--so generous!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

he tenido mucha experiencia hospedando y siendo hospedada:

my first experience november 2007 was when i stayed with a really nice girl in viña del mar, chile for a bit. we sat on her couch and practiced spanish together, as well as walked around the beach and ate awesome food. she had great suggestions of where i should go and what i should do. it was a great great experience!

and then earlier in 2008, maybe around february, i showed a REALLY cool guy around UCLA campus, where i go to school. it was so much fun just walking around and joking for hours on end. haha, he's even louder than ME! and not many people can be that. it was great!

and then a little later, i was in NYC and i met up with some of the coolest couchsurfers up to date! i think they had 12 CSers stay at that place the previous night and it was definitely a good time. :] thanks guys!

Music, Movies, and Books

desde mi musical favorito, llamado wicked:
this is from wicked, my favorite musical:

"I've heard it said
That people come into our lives
For a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you

Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a hand print on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend"
---Wicked *For Good*

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i drove a boat with 130 people on it in the strait of magellan (south america) to an island (isla magdalena) to see a cute colony of magellanic penguins!!

i also hiked up (by myself and in the dark!) to the highest point in panama, and gazed upon the pacific ocean and the caribbean sea during the beautiful sunrise. :)

watching the sun rise above stella point and uhuru peak on kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in africa. :)

what can i say? i love mountains! huayna potosi, i have my sights set on you next!

qué puedo decir? me encantan montañas! huayna potosí, ¡eres la próxima!
