PHILOSOPHY

...this evolves constantly...

lately i'm thinking about this idea of the universe's tendency over time to repair and improve upon itself and the things in it.

karma, like the cause and effect kind, not the mediated sort, explains some things for me in a way that helps me figure out how to live life without a diagram and instructions.

also, EVERYONE has a WAY more complex, tender story than the one i'm inclined to initially make up for them in my head, and i'm constantly reminded of this; we're all meeting each other at various points in these detailed story lines and IT'S SO, SO IMPORTANT to step into new dialogue with this kind of humble, curious, and really truly fucking compassionate attitude.

some basic philosophy: be kind, just really be as truly and genuinely kind as possible, we just never know how much it's worth, make art because this is an absolute need, this urge to create and reflect what we experience, i learn so much when i make things, sing in the shower and let people jump on my bed, but watch out for that fan above it. surround myself with rad individuals i can learn from and who are funny. be a good talker and a better listener. but, honestly? i need to constantly check in and remind myself of this stuff.

my house has magical powers: time stops//art happens// it's filled with laughing gas and glitter. i like cleaning. easy to amuse. i want to hear all of your travel stories and all about your family. i can get lots of dance parties started. i can recommend good books or read your tarot cards or runes. you will have a blast at my house because i like to lie on my back and giggle, and it's really hard to stop when you are lying on your back. you can borrow my clothes? oh, just take them. i worked in vintage clothing stores for too long. take them!

Interests

the sun, the ocean, cliff jumping, dancing, falling in.fatuated all the time, double-sided tape, really big art projects, reading good books fiction non fiction random thrift store finds anything with words and pages, really, writing short stories, sometimes with other people, sexuality, anarchist movements, music!, listening to back episodes of this american life while i get pretty in the morning, learning about what my friends were like as kids, learning about what my friends are like now, waking up in the morning and deciding to pretend it's my birthday: there are always shooting stars, so everybody wins, really. i am also extremely interested in convincing kids that while i do have better motor skills than they do, i can also embarrass myself even more than they can in a grocery store.

books: yes, PLEASE! oh, man, i have to get back to this one. so many have just completely changed me. they're like these magical time capsules for different times in my life. sometimes i get stressed out because there's no way i'll get to read all the books that i want. i wish i could just eat them.
