ABOUT ME

I love travel and adventure. I am easy going, curious, and have a love for everything quirky. I am a junior high math teacher at the local high school. Yes, I tell lame jokes.

I absolutely love being in the outdoors - one of the reasons we moved to the north. We spend our summer weekends hiking, biking, camping and kayaking. Winters are spent skiing, hiking, aurora watching and sitting in our living room next to the wood stove. Now that the dam is not being built and ATCO has moved out of down, we have even more to celebrate about this amazing town!

I have hosted and hosted and hosted and surfed in Canada, China, Russia, Sweden, Iceland and the USA.

Interests

My interest range from curling up with a good book to rock climbing. I love to travel and immerse myself in things that are new and challenging. I enjoy hiking. I telemark ski. I read a lot, and have been keeping a book journal for the past several years, so if you're looking for a good book, take a look in there. I also probably have the biggest tea collection in Fort Smith, possible even the NWT.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a true Winnipegger, I am a Folkie at heart. I grew up listening to the Blues and my brother studies and plays Jazz. If there is music playing, I will listen!

My favourite book is The Alchemist, and I have read the entire Harry Potter series - twice. I am currently reading Laxness' "Independent People" - amazing classic.

I have a huge movie collection. Feel free to browse through it and watch one on our projector. We don't have a tv. My all-time favourite movie is The Dead Poet's Society along with any cheesy B-movie ever made.
