About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Surviving! And teaching my daughter how to survive.

ABOUT ME

I'm 32, I'm mainly a mum, I'd like to help my daughter to grow up as an open minded woman, showing her a great way to meet people of other cultures.
I live respecting life in every form, I've seen that life is too short to waste it. Everybody has something to teach me.

I'm a real Scorpio: "Intense and powerful nature. Willful, proud and calm with an electrifying undercurrent of seething intensity. Scorpio does nothing in half measures. An all or nothing attitude permeates their entire life. Scorpio never settles. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest or not at all.....Their tenacity and willpower are enviable, their depth of character and passionate conviction admirable, but it is their deep sensitivity that makes them the best and most loyal friend. This same quality makes them the most treacherous of enemies."

What else.... I love pets (but I can't stand spiders, snakes and insects), I believe in aliens and prefer eating chocolate using fingers!

PHILOSOPHY

Live every day as it could be the last one, and be always youself! Live and let others live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Opening my house to the world! I'm showing my daughter an example, I hope she will grow up following the free spirit of CS. I think that sharing this experience with other people and allow them to know this site is the best way to help it. I make propaganda every time!

Interests

I like reading, going to shopping (when I have enough money....), playing with my daughter, drinking aperitives with my friends, looking for good restaurants, cooking... and a lot of other things!

I'm a volunteer for 118 Bologna Soccorso (the Italian translation of 911), working as a nurse on ambulance after six years as employee.

I sustain a project for Madagascar, I hope to go there as a volunteer at the end of this year.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Howl's Moving Castle, Young Frankenstein, Memoirs of a Geisha, V for Vendetta, Elizabethtown and all the Disney's movies (actually I'm not the owner of my TV, I just pay the bills... My daughter is the princess of the remote control!).
I love Sex & the City and Will & Grace!!!

Music: everything, from classic to heavy metal, it really depends on the mood. Music must be part of my life.

Books: I think that every book deserves to be read, so I read everything. If I have to choose I like the first books of Coehlo, Isabel Allende, a lot of classic writers like Wilde, Verga, D'Annunzio, Orwell, Huxley and much more. Definitely my favorite book is The Little Prince, I've read it several times in Italian, in English and in Spanish... I love it!
At the moment, I'm reading a BEST SELLER: "101 modi per riconoscere il tuo principe azzurro (senza dover baciare tutti i rospi)", translated as "101 ways to find your prince charming (without kissing every toad)"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I became a mum one day!
And the most amazing "thing" I've done is my daughter!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn foreing languages, in fact I'm trying to learn Spanish by myself! Maybe I can teach Italian... But I prefer sharing all my experiences with other people, and give them what I've known during my life. Living is the best school!
