About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Win the Eurovision Song Contest

ABOUT ME

Back on CS after a 5-years break. How is the community doing ?

Boring guy, no sense of humour, I like spending hours watching stupid things on TV, I never smile (can't stand wrinkles) , and, of course, I hate travelling and meeting people.

BUT! Since I have discovered CS I'm trying to open my mind to other cultures and interesting people from all over the world. It's hard for me, but I'm getting better! ;-)

When travelling I don't like planning more than mandatory. For instance, in Venice last year : "hey guys! What about renting a care and going to Bosnia?" unforgettable..

PHILOSOPHY

Optimistic, open-minded, interested in all religions and ways of thinking.

Doing my best to be happy and to spread happiness among my friends

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have "always" couchsurfed and couchhosted, probably since I was a few days old. My parents are Spanish migrants, grew up with the "my casa tu casa" attitude, this kind of things..
Since I joined CS I have surfed around 10 couches (London, Bangkok, Iceland, Vienna) and hosted a lot of travellers, mainly in India

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up in December 07 when living in Madrid. I couldn't host so I've been a "welcome guide" for people moving in town or people having some hours to visit around.
After that, I've been living abroad and traveling, hosting and surfing. So far not a single bad experience and almost all were incredibly rewarding and unforgettable.

Interests

Crazy about travelling, learning languages and meeting people.

I hate TV and lazy people.. but I love everything else!!

Music, Movies, and Books

The last books I have read : 1984 (G. Orwell) and Les Misérables (V. Hugo). Both of them made a great impression on me. Read them !!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"surfing" on icebergs in Jökullsarlón ?

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm about to become an engineer in a few months in the field of energy, but I'm afraid I couldn't teach much about it...

I speak some languages (French and Spanish are my mothertongues, I know some English) and I'm learning some other ones (German, Chinese, Italian and Icelandic "já já! ég er adh laera íslensku!") so if anybody want to practice/learn/teach ?

What else ? Well, I can teach basic cooking. My speciality is over-cooked pasta ;-)

I'm afraid that will be all I can do for the CouchSurfing University!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, India, Latvia, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mauritania, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, Niger, Poland, Portugal, Senegal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State, Wales
