ABOUT ME

I'm a student of life, interested in controversies such as development and under-development, peace and conflict, greed and grievance. Still try not to see things black and white.

During the past 10 years I have lived in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Finland, South Africa and Sweden. Now I am based in Nairobi, Kenya.

I enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member for years, but most of the time have not been actively participating. When I worked in South Africa in 2009 I participated in Pretoria/Gauteng community's meetings regularly - really good times!

I have both hosted couchsurfers and surfed myself a couple of times, and occasionally participated in CS activities in different parts of the world.

Long-distance running, traveling, sharing stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Over the recent years I have mostly been reading books on the Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes region - related to development, peacebuilding, conflict resolution etc... It's a bit horrible as I really used to love reading novels but that's just the way it currently is.
