About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be. Relax. Heal. Share.

ABOUT ME

I wish I find my own way to help and inspire others to break out of the mold and connect more strongly with themselves, with Mother Earth, and all her inhabitants. Keep on growing. Keep on blooming. Keep on inspiring.

PHILOSOPHY

"It took me a long time and most of the world to learn what I know about love and fate and the choices we make, but the heart of it came to me in an instant, while I was chained to a wall and being tortured. I realised, somehow, through the screaming of my mind, that even in that shackled, bloody helplessness, I was still free: free to hate the men who were torturing me, or to forgive them. It doesn't sound like much, I know. But in the flinch and bite of the chain, when it's all you've got, that freedom is an universe of possibility. And the choice you make between hating and forgiving, can become the story of your life."

An excerpt from Shantaram.

I wish I can reach that point. I learn more and more that this sort of strength begins through the contact with the light we carry inside of us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
I have read comics (I liked Thorgal and Blueberry a lot) and manga (Rurouni no Kenshin, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gunnm were some of my favorites).
I used to read about political issues but in the moment I am busy with books about the mind and meditation. In the end the political issues seem all to start in the inside world of humans. So why not just start there? I am happy to have found the same view in a conference from Daniele Ganser (Swiss historian).

I like stories for children with an unusual, unconventional twist and I find there wisdom for me. I could recomend here Yakouba, Kibwé, Yakoubwé (even though I don't agree with the end of the story: it might change over time), the Flight of the Humming Bird, and pretty much everything from Michel Ocelot.

Reading the comments of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali from Ralf Skuban was also very helpful for me. He showed connections to the Christian and Muslim way of thinking about God or the spiritual experience and this helped me seeing the common ground of a lot of spiritual approaches. I wish more and more to be able to meet peacefully and joyfully with this common nature in diverse forms.

Movies
Mainly repertoire and foreign movies (I like them a lot). I like movies that will make people think or learn about a different reality.
Some American movies I liked : Patch Adams, Forest Gump, Spanglish.
Babel, Crash
Guzaarish (a Bollywood-movie about euthanesia, well balanced between the polemical side and the Bollywood side: they sing and dance, but they bring it to the point without making the viewer depressive at the end of the movie)
Hanabi - Kirschblüten
C.R.A.Z.Y.
L'Audition (Luc Picard)
Pretty much everything from the work of Michel Ocelot and could stronly recommend to watch Azur et Asmar.

Music
World music, traditional music, classical music, some soundtracks

I love silence too. And meditation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started in 2012 making long bike travels... alone. When I am asking to people if I can pitch my tent for a night I realised how unusual it can be for them that a woman travels alone, for a long time and with "active means of transportation."

Since then, I am mostly traveling inside my mind. There a many twists and tricks and I need a lot of patience with myself. A bike trip alone is easy compared to the travel I am doing now. In the end, the mind changes completely the experience. A walk to the supermarket can bring someone literally out of themselves, be the beginning of big social drama, if they are in the proper mindset… and then there are other who come strengthened out of terrible conditions, also if they have the proper mindset.
