ABOUT ME

So I am an American attorney who has been on the road with my German girlfriend Petra for the past 6 years. We support our travels by stopping to work for a bit here and there.

We’ve had some amazing experiences and met some wonderful people, but at times also just needed to save some money or land someplace for a couple of days to get our shit organized. So it’s be great if during your visit we really hit it off and become good and lasting friends. But it’s also fine with us if you just need to save some money in order to treat yourself to that volcano tour you really want to take, or if you just need a place to crash for a few nights while you sell your jewelry in the market. If our schedules don’t work out this visit, we can get to know each other better the next time our paths meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Jump in and go. If you keep your eyes open, remain flexible and in good humor, it all works out in the end.

We've surfed on occasion during our travels and hosted in Antigua.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We never had a bad time while couchsurfing and always felt blessed that we had the chance to meet all these lovely people.
We've had some notable CS experiences in London, Mexico and Oakland. In Antigua, Guatemala we were able to host for the first time.

We highly recommend to everyone arriving in Antigua is to pick up a copy of the English-language Que Pasa magazine as soon as you arrive. Not the best read, but it has a ton of info and the best map of Antigua that we've found so far. Keep your eyes open, and you can find them at almost any cafe or restaurant.
