About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the most out of life; lots of laughter, love and good times!

ABOUT ME

I am a laid back lady. Hard working, honest and funny at times. I like meeting new people, learning new things, and having a good time. I like helping people and being useful.

I travel between 4-6 months a year, going anywhere and everywhere. I am at home most anywhere. I am easy to get along with.

When I go somewhere new, I like to learn as much as I can. It helps me to have a greater understanding of my surroundings. I have always dreamed of becoming a cultural anthropologist. I ask questions so if you are the type of person with lots of answers, we could get along famously!

I enjoy witty banter, short walks on the beach, street art, and telling stories (especially when drinking). I enjoy art, architecture, animals, adventure in any form ~ and those are just the A's!

PHILOSOPHY

Keeping it simple is my philosophy. I tend to live an uncomplicated life, growing much of my own food and living modestly. I tend to not get too attached to things and do my best not to judge. I try to live each day in the moment, and I appreciate the time and gifts I've been given. I often try to see from the perspective of the underdog in any given situation.

If I had to pigeon hole~ I guess I might identify most with the Buddhist philosophy with a touch of Zen........

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a member of the CS community since 2007 and have mainly used the group to meet people in foreign lands. Its a really nice way to connect and make friends/travel buddies.

I also like to meet people visiting New Hampshire, show them around and show them a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have mostly created events and met up with anyone who could make it to these gatherings.

I did some surfing in Thailand with my dear friend Samart Srisoda, who reminded me of the true me the meaning of hospitality :) Got nearly raped while surfing in Norway~ watch out there kiddies! It swings the gamut.

Interests

Love sea kayaking, hiking, camping, animals of all makes and models, living simply, gardening, street art, architecture, FOOD and eating~ I'm a great cook. I love being out of doors and active. I enjoy moving meditation, yoga, working out ~>ask to see the "gun show"
I am a huge fan of adventure, whether it be attempting to sail a questionable boat for an afternoon to heading off the beaten path because something in the distance 'looks interesting'...... Im game. I like the path less traveled :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a baby being born which was amazing. I stood in the face of a hurricane and experienced its sheer power. I rode in an alien spacecraft which was, well.... cool but a bit Universe shifting to say the least

I have seen how people can go through their lives not ever really living.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Gardening/ biodynamic & organic farming, carpentry, masonry, teaching English, beekeeping, animal husbandry, kayaking, how to hand roll pregnant cigarettes, how to be a dolphin whisperer....<-serious skill to know!

I'd like to learn: about everything I don't know! I'd like to learn about eco building, biotecture, cultures, traditional arts, crafts, cooking & lifestyles, how to put on makeup, cheese making, charcuterie, wilderness survival and living off the land. How to be a better human being while still being aloud to be a jerk every once in a while....

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Laos, Latvia, Mexico, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
