About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn Czech

ABOUT ME

I love life and think we live in a wonderful era because travels have never been that easy and affordable.

I want to visit as many places as it is possible and meet as many cultures as I'll be given the opportunity.

I believe that the better you know the others the better you know yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh now, cry later.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Travelling as much as I can and meeting as many people as possible. In November 2008 Joss, Colin and I moved in together to be able to host as often as possible.

Unfortunately they moved out in August 2010 and I left Portsmouth in September 2012.

Because I'm a full time student now, my hosting abilities have been greatly reduced but still doing my bits for the community whenever possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Probably the best way to see the world through somebody else's eyes. That's the School of Life!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are : The Monty Pythons' Meaning of Life, Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers, a lot of Mr Tarantino's and Mr Scorcese's work and all the movies of the wonderful Guy Ritchie. I won't forget Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Memento, Pi, Butterfly effect, Wisdom of crocodiles and the brilliant Boondock Saints.

My favourite music : from French to English bands with a couple of Spanish ones and not to forget some great Belgian bands. I don't have enough space to list them but it goes from Ska to Rock and electro-rock with a bit of Trip-Hop.

Books : I still have to read a lot but Honoré de Balzac is one of my favourites writers. His oeuvre is called the Human Comedy and it's all about how human beings interact. It was written around 1820 and is still true nowadays. Apart from that I read some of Weber's and I try to read anything in English just to improve.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen:

I saw the Cliffs of Moher near Doolin, Ireland.

I went to Alice in one of Prague's Black Light Theatre.

I climbed to Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal.

I dived in Santorini, Greece.

I trekked the Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Done:

I've been taught how to dance by a group of 11 years old Irish girls outside a pub in Doolin.

Teach, Learn, Share

"I must learn to love the fool in me the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries”
Theodore Isaac Rubin

So let's say I'm up to learn and share a lot. Usually when people share they learn from one another.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Tanzania, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
