About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Help, making the world a little bit better

ABOUT ME

That's a hard one, because I'm still growing and therefore views and bodyparts might change. Let's see. I am a native Berliner. I was born and raised in the well-known neighbourhood of Prenzlauer Berg.I'm currently working for a online-language-learing company and try to set up few of my own projects beside that. But over all I'm still figuring out what my true fortune is...So if I had to describe myself I'd say: talkative, trustful(read: I believe in people), critical (read: I question everything) and a little caotic and muddle-headed...

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still working on it but I guess it's something like humble decontructivism: Try to step out of your own moral and cultural concerns once in a while. Try to understand that everyone naturally thinks they are right when really nobody has all the answers.Other, not too serious oppinions:"Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about."(Oscar Wilde)"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something more bizarrely inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." (Douglas Adams)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I only surfed some wonderful couches in neighbouring countries. Though I would like to travel more often, CS is an opportunity to meet the whole world right at your doorstep. Therefor I really enjoy hosting people.

The first few years after I joined Couchsurfing, I took part in lots of couchsurfing activities, taking place in Berlin. Cooking Events, wine tastings, beach camp...partys and monthly meetings. The Berlin CS Community is a blast! I have to bring that up again soon :)

I mostly try to spread the CS idea everytime I meet people who seem to be open for it. At the same time, I keep my hospitality skills in shape(which are quite okay, I think).

Besides, I am always up to spend a nice afternoon/evening/night, show people around, exchange stories and eat, which is an inescapable TO DO if you meet me :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Simply...better than I could have imagined! I met so much warm-hearted people in a totally relaxed and open-minded atmosphere and had the chance to stay with the most friendliest and hospitable people I've ever met in my life! Wonderful experience and memories. For me, CS is one of those examples to explain how the internet changed the world in a good way, connects people and helps to bear down cultural and financal barriers.

A CS friend found some good words and I can hardly say it better: "I absolutely loath cheesiness, but couchsurfing is one of only a few things that helps restore some hope for mankind, don't you think?" (by Skibber) And yes, I think so.

I wouldn't consider myself a teacher but I'm very eager to learn from you! Espeacially cooking decent native meals...given you like to cook.
In exchange I can tell a lot about classic cocktails and even prepare them for a nice evening with chilled drinks :D
