ABOUT ME

I'm eager to know more about everything, travel my own way, I like to learn and experience new things, I am always curious about other people's experiences and stories.
I enjoy life strongly (that is to say, I like to eat, drink, laugh, sing, read, etc) but strangely enough I'm most of the time in my "normal life" a very serious, demanding person.

Je suis avide de connaissances, de défis, de nouveauté.
J'aime profiter de la vie (comprenez: manger, boire, rire, chanter, etc) mais paradoxalement je suis quelqu'un de sérieux et exigeant la plupart du temps. Je dirais que ma personnalité se définit principalement par ces deux aspects assez différents...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Dans le passé, j'ai traversé le Québec grâce à couchsurfing et j'ai beaucoup utilisé ce site pour beaucoup de choses (trouver un coloc, achats d'occasion...); A présent j'ai aussi le moyen de recevoir des gens, mais je suis aussi prête à repartir !

My first experience with cs: I travelled through Quebec thank to couchsurfing. I really enjoyed it! I used to use CS a lot for many other matters such as finding roomates, etc. I also talked a lot about couchsurfing around me. Several people already registered "thank" to me. I also used to participate to every CS meeting in Salon.

Now having a more "moderate" use of it, I would like to host people who have a good spirit and not a consumerist vision of CS. Only people really showing interest in the possible "good relation" we may have will receive answers. The goal is not to transform our flat in a youth hostel, but to meet interesting people who wanna come to visit Paris, exchange and talk, of course give a hand to travellers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Dans le passé, j'ai vécu un mois de canapé en canapé au Québec. Une expérience géniale, vraiment enrichissante. Je retiendrai la chaleur et l'accueil des gens, leur facilités à discuter, à accepter de me loger, leur simplicité. Au total, 10 canapés m'ont accueillie, grâce à couchsurfing, de près ou de loin (contacts, amis de surfers) à Montréal, Québec, Chicoutimi, Dolbeau, Baie St Paul.
J'ai aussi été à Lyon, à Vienne, à Paris, à Akureyri, Isntabul, en Islande, partout, partout !!

In the past, I stayed one month in Quebec (in 2008) sleeping from one couch to another one. It was a great and rewarding experience. I will remember the warming, easy-going people who accepted to host me as if it was natural. 10 couches hosted me thank to couchsurfing in Montreal, Quebec, Dolbeau, Baie St Paul.
I used CS in Lyon (France), Paris and Vienna (Austria), Akureyri (Iceland), and so many other places, it would be boring to list them all.
Of course, I also hosted people in Aix, and in Istanbul too.

Interests

J'adore lire avant tout, en particulier la littérature nord-américaine, anglaise, française et scandinave. Quelques noms: John Irving, Milan Kundera, Charlotte Brontë, Nancy Huston, Stieg Larsson, Roald Dahl,JJ Rousseau, Albert Camus, Romain Gary, Magda Szabo, Elif Safak,... ansi que la BD, grande fan d'un nombre très important de dessinateurs et scénaristes (trop pour les évoquer) !
J'aime aussi ponctuellement les polars et les romans "noirs" de Tonino Benacquista, James Ellroy, Agatha Christie...

Dans le désordre, mes autres principaux centres d'intérêt: le vin, la cuisine (le plus souvent possible, j'adore ça !), le sport (danse, escalade, marche, vélo), le voyage

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove a plane.
I travelled alone 3000 kilometers far from home.
I slept very high in the mountains (I have to check the precise height)
I saw beautiful sunsets that moved me deeply.
I took the tea with turkish military guys at the turkish / armenian border
I drove super fast on a vespa in Istanbul at sunset time
I loved.
I went alone around Iceland and hitch-hicked all the way.
In 2009 I travelled through Austria, Quebec, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Turkey
