About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Home sweet home. Time to slow down now, so happy to host.

ABOUT ME

Hello. I live a nomadic life. I move from country to country every now and then, settling here and there for some time. I would normally find a harsh and demanding place to live, somewhere in the mountains or by the coast, surrounded by pure nature. I'm not quite ready to settle down for good and I don't think I ever will be. I am particularly driven by northern territories, cold places, vast spaces of pure white.

I'm a hitch-hiker, most of the time a solo traveler. Despite the fact that I, sometimes, honestly fear being alone out there, I push my boundaries, I force myself to walk out of my comfort zone. The concept of living off the grid fascinates me. I've limited my possessions to absolute essentials, quit my responsibilities and set off for a long-term travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Accept whatever karma brings. Also, I think that the most important thing in life is to remain faithful to what you believe in, and to try to make your dreams come true. I believe in destiny, whatever happened to you, happened to you because of a reason.

I grew up in a family where freedom was much more important than money or stability. My mother would hitchhike with 5-years-old me, or my father would quit his job without hesitation just to take us all for a long vacation in a converted van. Maybe this is why I value my freedom above all.

The good old punk rock DIY philosophy is also important to me. If I can, I'd rather make something with my hands than simply buy it. I create and recycle things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an understanding host and I'm a humble guest. I've been on the road, so I understand how important it is sometimes to have someone out there, waiting for you. Whenever I have a chance, I try to join meetings and events, meet some of you, see old friends. The more I am into hospitality networks, the more my experiences vary, but most of them are still positive. I'm also a member of some low profile hitch-hikers hospitality-exchange networks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted travellers from all over the world, and it has often been an inspiring experience. I stayed with hosts in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. And I loved it.

Interests

In life, I'm interested in living off-the-grid, self-sufficiency, survivalism.
I grew up listening to punk rock and still find it inspiring. In my spare time I love reading good, ambitious literature, write and draw.
I'm a freegan.
