About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am creating a group for music therapists in order that we can find collegues when travelling. This could be an exciting form of international exchange.

ABOUT ME

I love to explore new places and see them with the eyes of locals. And I also like to be a local seeing old things with new lenses. I explore, jump around with happiness and sit quietly by big trees.

PHILOSOPHY

Irony is the spice of life

Interests

talking to people, playing and listening to music, improvising, singing, reading, theatre, movies, dancing to live music, tango, running, skiing, stars, clouds, rainbows, listening to crickets, discovering new places, poems, not too interested in TV news and South American soap operas, like watering my flowers - when I remember, making fun of myself

Music, Movies, and Books

I wake up with Parnograst gipsy band, have breakfast with Paris Combo, go to work with Budapest Klezmer Band, at work improvise whatever comes, go home with afro cuban music, go out to jazz, folk jazz or fusion, go to concerts or operas (Palestrina to Ligeti, love Operas by Mozart and Janacek)party to anything danceable -prefer live music and not techno. Get home, it is time for Schubert and Bartók.
Movies: Cabiria's nights, Eternal sunshine, anything by Kubrik, Roots, Paris Texas, Intimate Relations, The English Patient, Prague Story, anything French or Spanish.
Books: Harmonia Celestis by Esterhazy, Joseph and his Brothers and Dr Faustus by Thomas Mann, I like Hrabal, Vonnegut, Rushdie, Tolstoy, Dostoyevski, Ulickaja, and many Hungarian writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A saw curious and friendly maori fish in Australia while scuba diving. Unforgettable.

Apart from the maori fish another life changing event was to hear Murray Perahia play in Budapest when I was 15. His playing transformed the whole audience, including me.
