About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To invite Lindy hop dancers from around the world to dance wherever I am. Also, to meet new people from everywhere and make new friends.

ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student. In my free time I enjoy dancing, making music, exploring, reading, riding my bike, cooking pescatarian, and hiking.

Right now I live in the new city in Mardin. I'm here for the summer on a language program. The days are hot but the nights are sublime. I will show you the best view in Mesopotamia ;)

PHILOSOPHY

You'll never learn if you don't try.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host people when they visit Mardin. Having guests brings new energy into the house, which I like. Currently I cannot host on the weekends, but I can host for 1-2 nights during the week in Mardin.

I am out of town June 27-July 2nd. I cannot host in Mardin on these dates.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen amazing acts of kindness, and have been the humble recipient of a lot of kindness during my sojourns to Turkey.

I have eaten amazing pizza in a Suryani village.

I have felt the chilling air of an abandoned Yezidi village, where no one is allowed to return.

I have had entire conversations through smiles, eye contact and the sharing of tea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to think I can teach esoteric knowledge, but probably everyone says that. But I mean it sincerely ;) If you can teach me Sanskrit, I would be indebted to you.

I also teach dance, for example, the Charleston! In the US I compete in Charleston competitions and run regular classes.

If you meet me in Mardin I can show you Suryani churches, including a christian Suryani village with the best Pizza in Turkey!

I always love learning to cook new things with people. Perhaps we can do this together ;)
