About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live well

ABOUT ME

If any personal description of me is thought desirable, it may be said, I am a traveler, a friend to many, an idealist, a collaborator, an eclectic mind,—no other marks or brands recollected- at least to my knowledge.

I have lived in Argentina, Colombia, and the US; through my travels, I try to enjoy other parts of the world and its beauty.

PHILOSOPHY

Become a better person every day by opening my mind to new experiences, new cultures, and learning from past mistakes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Whether you'd like to make a single-serving friend or have a long lasting friend I am here to help. I have met great individuals via couchsurfing in my travels. Want to reciprocate the good karma.

I'd love to meet up with new people who have an interest in traveling, hanging out around the city, discovering new places, sharing ideas, etc..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met amazing, generous, adventurous, wonderful people in CouchSurfing. It can be a very enriching experience to meet complete strangers and learn a lot about them and their culture in just a few days.

Interests

Love the outdoors. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, going to concerts, and being active in sports.

You can find me snowboarding in Mammoth Mountain during the winter, skateboarding, surfing (or at least trying to) during the summer, and playing soccer on the weekends any time during the year.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very diverse music taste. I just enjoy good music regardless of the genre or language. The right type of music will make occasions much more memorable.

I can probably say my 5 favorite movies are: Motorcycle Diaries, Fight Club, Nueve Reinas,La Noche de los Lapices and The Matrix. I also enjoy the great 80â

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most interest things I have seen was during my stay in Varanasi, India.

Varanasi is a holy city in Hinduism. As the night sets in, the city has rituals along the shore line of the river where dead bodies are set on fire and then sent on a raft into the river. The process, they believe, ensures release of a person's soul from the cycle of its transmigrations. People come form all over to die in the city in order to bypass the reincarnation process and reach Nirvana directly. Also you can see people bathing in the river since the water is supposed to wash your sins away. This is another ritual that has been going on for hundreds of years. The crazy thing is that people still continue to bathe in the river even though the water is extremely polluted.

Another amazing thing I saw was the way certain homes were built in India. Homes were made from cow dung. It was a very strong image and it reinforced my idea of wanting to volunteer somewhere and put to use my education for humanitarian reasons and not only economical motives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experience of living in LA for the past 10 years and, if time permits, take you to the local beaches or show you around the cool architecture in downtown LA.

If sightseeing is not your thing I can try to teach you how to play soccer and drag you with me at over the weekend or get you up by 5 am to go surfing (I am just learning so don't expect me to teach you much).

If you are here during the winter I can teach you how to snowboard although my sister says I am not a very patient teacher in which case you may get frustrated with me.

I can also share my skateboard or bicycle with you and show you around the beach.
