About Me

I'm a pretty relaxed guy who enjoys spending my time getting lost in interesting conversations with people as much as getting lost in the nature.

For a few years now climbing has taken up much of my free time. I'm a member of the local climbing club. A community in which we take care of our climbing gym together. We go on climbing trips around the world, slacklining in the park, barbecuing and just in general having fun :)

I love traveling, and meeting cultures that teach me more about why people behave like they do..

My favorite philosophy would be "Have a little faith.. It will all work out".
For me this statement is very close to my philosophy in life. Nothing is permanent or fixed. Neither pain nor joy last forever. Purely bad or good do not exist, but depend on your view point and mental state. I believe that by practicing controlling my state of mind and learning more about life eventually you will gain enough comprehension to see the world as it really is. But until then I live with the belief that eventually "it will all work out".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a couchsurfer for a while now. For many of us couchsurfing is not only a useful website that we use for traveling, but a community that have changed our lives. I have had my greatest lectures in life though this community and keep finding new inspiration here :)

Interests

I'm a climber and both teach and practice climbing several times a week. Recently I have also gained quite a big interest in sustainable living and community co-housing. From the inspiration of several of my surfers I have realized that we need to take care of our world if we wanna keep it :)
I'm not all the way there yet though so please keep educating me :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books that make me think. The Art of Happiness by Howard C. Cutler or Momo by Michael Ende are such examples

Teach, Learn, Share

I can take you climbing in our climbing gym. Teach you how to fly a remote controlled airplane or helicopter. Show you some amazing recipes I've picked up around the world. I can teach you how to walk on a slackline or how to play a bit of guitar :)

I'm currently looking into improving my Spanish and my guitar playing :)
