ABOUT ME

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and been hosted by so many people, that I cannot even begin to count all my experiences!

Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy making pottery, slacklining, swimming or just taking a walk at the beach, going on long hikes, watching foreign movies, cooking Lebanese dishes for my friends, and of course travelling and meeting people from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love artistic foreign movies, especially French and Italian. Cedrick Klapish and Benigni are among my favorite directors.

I listen to lots of random music, and I like almost everything with the exception of pop, country, and rap--although there are some exceptions to my exception. I try not to limit myself to western music. One of my favorite musicians at the moment is Yann Tiersen.

I usually enjoy reading historical fiction like the works of Steinbeck and Hemmingway, but I also appreciate some of the more surreal writers like Haruki Murakami. Albert Camus, Marguerite Duras, and Annie Ernaux are among my favorite French writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing grand...it's usually the smaller things that I really appreciate. I've always loved watching dolphins pass from the bluffs of Malibu, and I recently had a ridiculous amount of fun making soap in a coffee shop.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn anything you can teach me! I can share what I know about pottery, gardening, and if you're brave enough to try, I might just teach you tightrope walking. If you speak French or Italian I would love to practice my language skills. If not, I can always teach you a word or two.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A warm smile! And an invitation to my couch wherever I may live at the moment.
