ABOUT ME

A few winters ago I escaped the cold by moving to Cape Town and doing my freelance work from there. This was an amazing experience and surprisingly easy too. So I sold my place, got rid of most of my things (still some boxes and furniture at friends places) and explored more city's in the same way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because the last years I was always on the move, I used CS mainly for meeting people (maybe the best feature!) and finding accomodation. Once my boat is finished, I'll start offering accomodation too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some great hikes with people I met through CS. In Barcelona I attended a few CS-meetings which a lot of fun.

Interests

Traveling, hiking, cycling, swimming, jogging, (live) music, cats, movies, arts/architecture, making clothes, reading books in which you can't stop reading, meeting new people, having long breakfasts with them or lunch or dinner, crazy spontaneous things, learn things about boats and sailing, DIY everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books? Gee ehm... Papillon, A fine balance, that book about a boy, a tiger and a boat...keep forgetting titles, sorry!!
Music: jazz (specially singers), alternative, elektro (actually I am open for everything)
Movies: everything out of the ordinary like good SF, or films with a good plot or lots of humour. Recently I liked 'The Fall'.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel shy now, what can I teach? Ehm... you probably never rode a recumbent bike before. And then I can share travel experiences ofcourse. Swimming lessons (chest crawl, back crawl, diving). Sewing. English conversation.

For me I'm learning to play the guitar. And I'm open to experience crazy sporty things.
