About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet everyone from around the world, one crazy person at a time.

ABOUT ME

A culture freak that is always curious to know about my surroundings and the reason things are the way they are.

I also love a good snifter of Brandy while reading Tolstoy after a good night of dumpster diving.

PHILOSOPHY

Prove yourself wrong. If you haven't succeeded then you know you're probably right.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've both stayed and hosted.. definitely more hosted at this point. Every time we host someone new, it concretes our belief in couchsurfing even more. This is the new way of traveling, people!

Interests

My wife and I are avid music fans. We go to many concerts a year, from local bands in houses to punk shows in scuzzy bars to pop chamber acts in churches, anything and everything that is exciting, different and memorable. We like shopping for weird, unusual and classic albums on vinyl. Making mixes for friends and parties is something we don't take lightly. As well, I love making songs on my Reason program.

Food is another passion of ours. Trying foreign foods is exciting, and day by day we are increasing our awareness of all the different dishes and drinks out there. As my wife is vegetarian we love cooking up spaghetti pomodoro, Indian dal, tofu and eggplant Thai green curry, grill cheese sandwiches and carrot ginger soup, among many other recipes. We also know where to get the best fish and chips in town!

Skateboarding culture is something I admire, even though I skateboard very little these days.

We also love photography, farmer's markets, picnics, bowling, camping, mini golf, swimming, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being at Coney Island in the dead of winter. The boardwalk was iced over, the beach was covered in snow, the wind was blowing madly, nobody was around, my wife got frostbite on her knee, Astroland was dormant and locked behind tall fencing.
Riding down a mountain with a view of the Salzburg Lake District and the Alps.
Exploring the world`s largest ice cave.
