About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a little live and travel before I go into Grad school

ABOUT ME

I'm a philosopher... most my friends would say the annoying kind. I think I'm best thought of as a devil's advocate. I really do get people to think about all the assumptions they make. I can be annoying with my questioning yes, but good conversation is good conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

Question everything, even and especially what seems least in need of questioning... A & ~A

Interests

I'm most interested in helping people... right now I'm trying to figure out how to steer my life to make that happen. Traveling is interesting to me because of the necessity of understanding other cultures in this world.
I love nature, kayaking, rock climbing/bouldering, snowboarding, swimming, snorkling... walking on the beach (I just moved here)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know what it was... for all I know I fell asleep meditating and hit my head. But there was this one moment where I swear I reached some sort of transcendent state while meditating... the craziest thing was I lost track of time, I lost track of my thoughts, but upon 'waking' from my meditative state that one instance bridging between I was absolutely overwhelmed by compassion... take it for what you will but as far as I'm concerned this world needs no gods... we need more compassionate beings

Teach, Learn, Share

We base our lives on perceptions, we like to base our lives on logic also, we logically understand that there are unknowns in causality, perception is a byproduct of causality...
question everything
Solipsm, though the laughing stock of Philosophy of Mind, has a lot of ground to it, even if it is lonely ground

France, Haiti
