I respond to ALL CS requests. After hosting 18 German exchange students, I have a great desire to keep meeting new people, especially from other countries. Let's get to know each other! TAKE NOTE - I DO NOT LIVE IN OR NEAR NEW YORK CITY. IT IS A 7 HOUR DRIVE FROM HERE!

ABOUT ME

PLEASE NOTE - I DO NOT LIVE IN OR NEAR NEW YORK CITY. IT IS A 7 HOUR DRIVE FROM HERE. I am a single guy - now 75 going on 54.
I love to travel, especially Europe, and was doing some of that until my normally healthy parents went down hill. I spent over five years taking care of them on a daily basis. They are now both deceased and I hope to do a lot of traveling again. When I am home, there is always room here for visitors and I would try to also give a tour of the area to the best of my ability including Niagara Falls etc.

PHILOSOPHY

A majority of the people in most countries are great to live and work with.
It is usually the governments that suck.
Let's do everything we can to understand each other and be tolerant of different cultures so that we can live in peace together.

When I saw a news article about this organization and what it was doing all I could think of was - Why didn't I know about this sooner? Ha
I would like to help any travelers as best I can to enjoy this area and have a safe journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a great experience hosting surfers from many parts of the US and around the world. Every one had a great story to tell. Have only surfed other's couches a few times but all great experiences too.
