About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to work on my experience collection...

ABOUT ME

I've been MIA for the last few months on here but I'm back. Who wants to visit Detroit?I love cheap, unconventional travel. I like to dance. And I like babies. And most old people. And reading the Onion.I love dreaming about, planning, and trying to improve quality of life and morale for Detroiters. I have a job I absolutely love. I work the night shift in a huge ER... the most insane craziness legally available... I have seen amazing things... that is allI love old houses and am working on fixing this one up.I feel like the only person in the world who doesn't love household animals. I just feel very indifferent to them. Once, freshman year, I walked around my university dressed like a giant chicken. A defining moment.

PHILOSOPHY

Careful not to draw your maps in pen and ink. -The Cobalt Season

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."
- C.S. Lewis

"You have five minutes to wallow in the delicious misery. Enjoy it, embrace it, discard it...
and proceed. . ."

and

"as the night air whips through your hair...
around your face, and out the other window.
You can feel the soul of that dark water
even as you arrive on the other side.
Some music needs air. Roll down your window."
-Elizabethtown

Everything in moderation, including moderation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Somewhere up in Canada we found this naturally-occuring water slide. It was amazing. See the pictures.

Ernstein and Hazel's Bar in Memphis. It's better than in the movies.

Finally went to the Motown Historical Museum after having lived here forever. One of the most entertaining and interesting guided tours I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit or to do really good CPR.

I need to learn balance.

I like to share, but I sometimes drink right out of the OJ bottle.
