ABOUT ME

In 2011 I finally returned home to HOlland after many years of travelling over all continents. After several discussions with Taiwnese friends on the unfortunate fact that the same hospitality we as Westerners receive in Asia is often not returned once they travel to Europe and the limited possibilities for them to experience a different site of Europe we decided to start our own travel agency! Easier said than done and we are currently still fully engaged in the starting up process, all help and suggestions are welcome!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The last 2 years I have unfortunately not had many possibilities, due to time and space restraints, to actively participate in couchsurfing but now I have finally quit the boring time consuming job and can focus on travelling again I hope to also be able to participate in Couchsurfing more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing 3 times so far, with Sveta and Anton in Budapest, with Diyar in Moskow and with John in Singapore all very positive experiences! In the last few years I have hosted several people in Utrecht, nothing but good memories!
Besides these experience I've meet lots of nice people through couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Just read 'the kite runner' and 'three cups of tea' both great books!
I like watching documentaries but can also enjoy movies (though not always), one recent movie I really enjoyed was 'Revolutionary road'.
I like a very wide range of music but one of my favorites was and probably always will be Sinead O'Connor. Also love world music, big fan of the Putumayo collection.
