It's travel season! Bouncing around New Zealand and Asia this time of year, I would love to share some time with you :)

ABOUT ME

As age slowly begins to bring in more perspective, I embrace my inner nerdisms. From birding to yoga, meditation to mountain biking. Working seasonally at National Parks and hunter chrck-stations, I try to find balance between overwork and boundless travel while soaking up our natural places and spaces. I like to chase the sun, find birds, and listen to leaves. I most recently find myself as a Wildlife Biologist in Glacier National Park in Montana, US - Hiking trails and counting birds ~*DreamJob*~

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I am stationary I enjoy hosting and showing people around the world I live in, when I am base-less I enjoy connecting with people and seeing their worlds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Things began in spring of 07 when a couple buddies and I went down to bowling green for a disc golf tournament and stayed with Aaron, our host, for a few days. As soon as I heard about this site I thought it was the best thing ever, and after staying with someone we met through this site I feel bad for not signing up sooner!

In spring of 08, I finally understood what this project was about, on a huge Disc Golf tour from Wisconsin through Colorado to California and down through Texas and back, staying at a new person's house every night, it became public this world is full of beautiful, amazing people. It was an AMAZING experience with lots of hosts, all of whom were fantastic. Just wish I had more time to spend with everyone.

'11 I surfed with some amazing hosts in germany and austria and spent more time with them and really did this the right way. I met some terrific people and had some wonderful experiences!

Since then I've hosted a few and stepped away from the project a little bit but still hold it dearly in my heart.

I can teach you about birds, disc golf, home construction, fermentations, wine, snowboarding and environmental things. Got a story? I love to listen and could tell a few of my own.

It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime. What better place than here, what better time than now?

The slower you travel, the richer and more full your experience.

Only the mountain has lived long enough to listen objectively to the howl of the wolf.
