ABOUT ME

Ahoy Maties,
I travel the world taking pictures of pirates, as I am the world only profession pirate photographer. I vend at 30 pirate related events a year. I write a column for Pirate Magazine. I spend alot of time working in Photoshop, which I used to teach at the Art Institute of CA - San Diego.

I used to be vegetarian, but I now eat fish & seafood. I stop drinking about 10 years ago, but now I drink rum when I am dressed as a pirate - which is almost every weekend, arrrgh!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surf couches on my trip up to Washington State, it was great way of meeting people. I am making my big move to St Thomas, USVI and will be making stops in TX & FL.

Interests

Photography, Photoshop & Piracy. I love taking pictures of people in costumes - cosplay. I teach pirate sword fighting class.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of audio books, I especially like the Pat O'Brian, Aubrey-Maturin Series of 22 books on being a Captain on a Tall Ship in the 19th Century, been listening to as much pirate and period books.

I love watching movies, I do the Netflix 3 times a week routine. I like adventure & Sci fi movies such as: Ironman, Matrix, Starwars, POTC. I listen to music such as: Nighwish, Vanessa Carlton, Laura Pausini, Tatu, Cascada, Enigma, Frou Frou, Evanescence

Teach, Learn, Share

I am self taught in the important things I do such as photography, graphic design, image manipulations, pirate speech, running a small business. Experience is the best teacher. Finding something you really love- then explore everything about it - then see if you can make a living from it.
