ABOUT ME

I am straightforward and very optimistic. I often switch from introvert to extrovert and back.

I like to travel my own way. I often to go to touristy places, because some of them are worth a visit, but I don't need to see everything. I enjoy going abroad and read a book in local coffee shops just to feel the atmosphere of that country. I missed some famous sights because my CS hosts needed to do everyday's chores and I was more interested to see that than the sight.

You won't meet me at the wildest parties. I've been to Full Moon party in Thailand and did not like it. I like small groups of friends, pubs, bars and izakayas. Music should not make my ears hurt and should allow me to engage in a conversation that won't make my throat sore the next day. Such things make me tired and annoyed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted people in Prague, Kuala Lumpur and Fukuoka. I used to organize sports events when I was living close to a lake.

I blend everywhere easily and learn about local place a lot. If you surf my couch I will take you to great places I discovered because I like to share them.

When you ask me for a couch I don't care if you are a seasoned couchsurfer or you've signed up yesterday if you've put some effort in your profile and the request. I read all requests and try to answer all of them. But I am getting requests daily and I don't reply requests when it is obvious that the person did not real my profile.

If you do one of the following, I know you did not bother and you will get only "Declined" from me.

- Asking couch for more than 1 person.
- Empty profile or a profile in a language that I don't understand.
- The reason for surfing my couch is "You are interesting" or "We both like travel". Copy&paste or lack of creativity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted plenty and been hosted many times. So far positive experiences. CS allows me to see how people in that country live, be it locals or expats, and that is the most valuable experience for me.

Interests

Apart from travelling, I make mobile phone games, wrote a book, did some photography, watch a lot of movies, run three times a week and like watersports.

* Movies:Sci-fi, action, thriller, drama. Shawshank redemption is my favourite.

* Music: Britpop, Rock and Indie Rock, Ska, Ska Punk and Latin Punk/Ska

* Books: Any good book... Recently read Orson Scott Card: Ender's Game. Highly recommended (sci-fi).

Teach, Learn, Share

* Teach: Tell you secret tips for travelling such as these six hidden gems in Japan. Or how to cook Czech cuisine, speak in Czech language and anything about running :)

* Learn: I'd love to learn an interesting phrase from your language. I already know unusual phrases from 10+ languages and I had great fun using them all over the world! Also I want to learn to play basketball.

* Share: Apart from sharing travel stories, I can try to fix your computer, because that's what is usually expected from me, because I "work with computers" ;)
