About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get up in the morning, get to the couch and then lie back down again. Continue to be creative. Stress less. More pleasure. More pleasure. More pleasure. No box's.

ABOUT ME

I was in the corporate world for a while {10 years},.Thought that making tonnes of cash was the answer. Ran my own business for many years. Scaled my lifestyle back a few years ago to pursue music and storytelling as a career and have not looked back ever since. I now realise I am a hedonist at heart. My life is now VERY relaxed. check my website

I was born in Clyde central Otago but grew up in Queenstown, OOOOOtago , New Zealand

PHILOSOPHY

Hug everyone.
To not be afraid of conflict. In discussion/arguement/conflict is where we learn new ideas and learn from each other. {of course this excludes physical conflict}
NO BOX'S/FENCES {this is big for me}
I think the idea someone earns respect/trust is the wrong way round. Everyone should get it immediately, and then they can "de earn" it if they wish.
Personally, I live as much in the now as I can, but in terms of effecting future generations I try to think about the long term effects of my actions, and our actions as a collective. I try include the REAL cost in the equasion and try to spread this ideal as much as I can.
Everyone can change.
Most people desearve a second chance.
Loyalty.
Sticking to your word.
Being devils advocate is a great way to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

No; 1 for me is to continue to host CSers {when I'm not surfing myself} and make that "connection" learn/teach, converse,have fun and make friends. To "change the world one couch at a time"..... spread the good will and the CS spirit {which I believe is inside everyone}
No; 2 to welcome new hosts/surfers and indeed, try to encourage non CSers to join couchsurfing.com . To contribute to my CS community by organising events, answering questions,keeping an eye on the groups I moderate or anything else I can think of that will help bring us all a little closer together. To make it easier for us to look after each other, either directly or by the "pay it forward" system.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It takes a a special kind of person to trust another 100%... to be able to leave any baggage you may be carrying or profiling out of your judgement. To say "here's my spare key", make them a cup of tea and think... "although I don't really know you I respect you , want to help you and give you a place to rest your weary head". I love that people can think the best of someone else and immediately give that person a chance to live up to that expectation. Even people with a "reputation" given the chance to shine, more often than not will do so. This is a wonderful thing and is why I think that WE truely are changing the world one couh at a time.
