About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Live and let live

ABOUT ME

I am Anton, you probably know me from Hospitality Club: http://secure.hospitalityclub.org/hc/travel.php?cid=antoncsi

I strongly believe that lack of money should not be an obstacle in the matter of travelling. If a person feels the passion towards the world, wants to discover new lands, and meet new people and cultures - the opportunity should exist. CouchSurfing, Hospitality Club, Erasmus program, WWOOF, hitchhiking - are all opportunities of such kind.

I was born in Leningrad and started traveling at the age of 1, when we went home to Hungary. Since then I traveled a lot, getting an addiction to be on the move whenever circumstances permit.

PHILOSOPHY
Make love, not war.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I organized some Sziget CS camps in the past, and some CS meetings in Budapest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started hosting before this profile appeared on the pages of CouchSurfing. I've made lots of friends, and I'm looking for more CS-wonders in the future.

Interests

Life, music, parties, concerts, going out with friends, camping, traveling, attending sports events, watching movies, learning languages, birds (and other living creatures) 8-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Route 66, The Big Lebowski, Snatch, Kontroll, Csak szex es mas semmi, Szezon, Szerelmesfilm, ARGO (watch it if you haven't!), some of Tim Burton movies, Miyazake animation, old Soviet animated movies etc.
I hardly ever watch horror, it gives me long-lasting nightmares. Trash-horror comedies, on the other hand, are a completely different story! Have you seen Tucker and Dale vs. Evil? Amazing movie!

The Beatles, The Doors, JD&The Blenders, CODY, Presszo Tango Libido, Yonderboi, Joy Division, The Yellow Spots, Masfel, Neo, Zagar, Splean, Nyers, Tequillajazz, Yanni Chrysomallis, Pink Floyd, Tankcsapda, Leningrad, accordion music.

Milan Kundera, Antoine de Saint Exupéry, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's mostly the travels, the people I meet, the places I see, the things that happen. For example, travelling around Crimea with some other backpackers met along the way. Hitchhiking in winter from Copenhagen to Amsterdam: staying overnite in a truck of Bulgarian driver; getting lifted right to the door of a friend's house, even though the driver was actually going to a totally different direction. Travelling to lake Baikal with Transsiberian railway, visiting Ivolginsk datsan in Buryatia. 2000 km roadtrip around Austria and Slovenia (The Alps, Lake Bled, sea-coast of Venetian Emprire, the world's oldest vine). And many many others. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you fencing!

You can teach me too - to play domino, new card games, juggling, tell me what you know!

Sharing is an integral part of process of living, whenever we meet - something is shared, from air and thoughts to food and roof.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes I could bring you a souvenir from my country. Sometimes I would arrive with only stories to share - but these are great stories, and aren't stories way better than a fridge magnet?

Then, who knows, word by word, as we talk, we might share with each other the exact pieces of puzzle we need? Life is unpredictable, and it brings people together for a reason.

So, if you cannot host me, maybe it's just not yet meant for us to meet. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
