ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, now living in California, I can honestly say I have a huge outlook on life. Where I grew up influenced me immensely, the combination of formality on one end of society and complete freedom on the streets shaped me into a very flexible person that enjoys almost anyone's company and sees something bright, interesting and fascinating in any situation.

I'm big on traveling, music & photography, art in many of it's forms, partying(going to school in Santa Barbara!), and sometimes relaxing(hopefully I'll do more of this before I die, I'm mostly very active). I want to explore the world through all it's creaks.

I have a million hobbies like surfing, kiteboarding, photography, dj'ing etc, I love keeping busy and that's why you'll never see me just sitting around.

I'd mostly like to say I would rather be remembered than be boring, looking to try anything at least once and reserve judgement for another lifetime. The world is a huge and diverse place, let's explore it and make connections together.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Can host almost anybody in my living room, even though I have other roommates and we have a dog and a cat. The place is clean and decently spacious, we also are always active doing something(wether its hiking, partying, working, making music) and we'd love some travelers around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Achieved the better part of a eurotrip 3 years ago through couchsurfing. Stayed with amazing hosts in Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Budapest and the like and had a wonderful time. Also attended many of the couchsurfing meetups and parties along the way. Usually traveled with a girlfriend so that's why references mention other girls(now I'm doing a solo profile) Some of the best and friendliest attitudes can be found through this website, it's value is incomparable to anything. LOVE IT!

Interessen

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Love movies, personal favorites being Brazil, Barry Lyndon, and the likes, steady pacing with flawless delivery of a modest but powerful storyline fills my interest for any number of hours. Yet a speedy, intense action flick is well received as well on occasion, as long as it avoids the redundant blockbuster mentality

Musically I've settled quite seriously on most of the electronic genres, coming from a rock,metal background I really enjoy Drum and Bass but I'll listen to anything and have fun with everything.

Books I read all kinds, from Bertrand's History of Western Philosophy to American social dramas like The Lie by Chad Kultgen. Love talking about books even if I havent read them, anything that someone spends 5-10 hours on will result in an engaging discussion.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Getting off a train in Bruges(great place in Belgium) at 3 am, connecting with the only other people that got off at that late stop, a shy Russian couple and an American from Minnesota. Proceeding to drink and walk the night away in this beautiful town because every hostel, hotel, bed seemed close and no cs host because of the last minute idea to even go there. Yet in the middle of the night, a nice Flemish lady walking her little dog which spoke no English decided to take us in, in her tiny living room with a very zen vibe. She lived on the top floor of a beauty saloon in construction so we all took a very shady construction ladder to the top. Unrelated to couchsurfing but nonetheless the vibe was much the same, and the impromptu notion of this event, the randomness and it's simplicity and the kindness of this girl with stay with me forever. It rained that night :)

Love electronic music and photography, did wedding photography for a few years and take pictures pretty much all over the world and would love to give pointers or show a thing or two that I've picked up.
