About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Free Nelson Mandela

ABOUT ME

I am a fairly active adventure minded person who is open to whatever possibilities present themselves. The best advice that I have received in the last 63.2 days is to make sure that I do not stop development.
Spending this year getting healthy, learning how to maintain and repair bikes, saving money, having fun, helping others; all in preparation for a long distance bicycle adventuresaurusrex.

PHILOSOPHY

Shit happens.
Treat others as you wish to be treated.
If you are going to do it, do it big.
If you are going to do it, do it right.
If you are going to do it, enjoy it.

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that everyone is guessing. No one, not a single person, knows what will happen 1 second from now, let alone in a month. Yes, we can infer things but in the end everyone is basically bumbling around like blindfolded giraffes on ice skates.

Perspective is everything
Whats the fun in being cool if you can't wear a sombrero? -Hobbes
Expect the best but prepare for the worst.
"How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?"
If there was a higher probability of dying because you followed your dreams, would you still go for it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed couches, crashed at places, shared rides, met up for potlucks, played capture the flag and everything in between through couchsurfing.
I even ran into a couchsurfer who knew who i was on a sandune in Namibia.
CS has limitless possibilites, so drop me a message and lets make some a reality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been hosted when I traveled to Europe and Africa, also have met up for a few rideshares and potlucks. Spent all last year hosting people at my shared house in Corvallis, which was awesome. Making connections with good people is an inspiring feeling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attempted to run around Mt. Hood.(Hopefully round 2 soon)
Dreamed big.
Walked into a sun drenched meadow surrounded by old growth fir and redwoods, a place I had been close to my entire life and yet had never seen before.
Kept on keeping on.
Went Snowboarding.
A never ending sunset in the Sierra Nevada.
The Alaskan Wilderness.
Flash Floods.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to experience what other countries are like. I know that the US has a very materialistic culture, and I know that there is more out there...
The world is what you make it to be. People have advantages both positive and negative. On a more positive note, I can teach you how to stand like a crane pretty well.
Or catch a Frisbee.
Or to learn from things regardless.
Besides and including that, i am down to learn.
Anything.
Share what you have and love everyone.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Malawi, Mexico, Mozambique, Namibia, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

Botswana, Tanzania, United States
